About me

I'm Amanda Edmonds, a Christchurch-based dispute resolution consultant working across workplace investigations, mediation, conflict coaching and adjudication.

Alongside my workplace services, I undertake adjudication work through panel providers such as Fairway Resolution.

I'm particularly drawn to understanding what is happening for people in conflict, and supporting them to navigate difficult situations with dignity and confidence.

Originally from the UK, my career has spanned the law, finance sector, organisational development, public sector conflict resolution and investigations. This has given me a broad perspective on how organisations and people respond when things become difficult.

Experience that informs my work

Backed by a law degree and substantial investigative experience, including with the Legal Ombudsman in the UK, I bring rigour, fairness and careful judgement to complex issues.

After moving to New Zealand, I spent ten years at the Department of Conservation, most recently leading its Speak Up function and supporting staff and leaders to navigate complex concerns and conflict.

That experience informs my understanding of public sector workplaces, while my services are available to organisations and individuals across a range of industries.

Clarity, structured with care

I combine sound processes with a trauma-informed approach. In practice, this means paying close attention to how I communicate, how conversations are paced, and what people need to participate fully.

Whether I am investigating a concern, facilitating mediation, or supporting someone through conflict coaching, I bring a thoughtful, structured approach tailored to the situation at hand.
